Kids say the darndest things!!

I took my 7 yr old in to see his ADHD dr on Thursday. I should let you know that he is terrified of getting shots. So the dr comes in and begins chatting with us about how things have been going, what areas do we feel he needs to have help in and so on. We talk about how school is going and what he likes about his school day, then she asks Rafe to sit up on the exam table to be examined. He gets this look of terror on his face and begins yelling, "I hate pricks, I hate pricks". Both the dr and myself could not control our laughter. You see Rafe calls shots pricks because that is what they feel like to him. But to us it sounded like he was referring to a person and calling them a prick. I am sure the ppl in the surrounding rooms were wondering what the heck was going on in our room. Oh boy, never a dull moment in our lives. We had to calm him down and reassure him that he was not there to get any shots, just to be looked over to make sure he was healthy.
